Welcome to First Baptist Church of Cuyler

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the satisfaction for our sins."

~John 4:19~

Youth:
November 25th we are taking a trip to Ms. Iona Fish for a day of  raking leaves and picking up pecans and practicing what we learned last Wed night how to pray for others and see if the children remember what finger we use to pray for Ms. Fish. Guys remember  to bring your Rakes, gloves, bags and anything else we might need. We will be having hot dogs and chips when we return from Ms Iona's..

Wednesday Nite our Youth learned about Prayer. We Learned what prayer means whos hears us and what has to be done before we can be heard. we also learned the 5 finger prayer hope you enjoy.

Your thumb is the finger closest to you so it reminds you to prayer for the people who are the closest to you .

Your pointing finger is the next and it reminds you to pray for the ones who teach us , instruct us and heal us..This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction. Keep them in your prayers.

The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders. Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry, and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's guidance.

The fourth finger is our ring finger. Surprising to many is fact that this is our weakest finger; as any piano teacher will testify. It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them

And lastly comes our little finger; the smallest finger of all. Which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, "The least shall be the greatest among you." Your pinky should remind you to pray for yourself.
